Anyone familiar with Simon Sinek (...and if you're here, we're guessing you're a fellow fan), knows the Golden Circle: Start with Why. Here's our Why, How and What... and a little something about our founder
We create productive, fulfilling workplaces through the magic of Workplace Happiness.
We believe that meaningful and enjoyable work is…
… deserved by all people
... possible in any job
… essential to overall well-being
…why great organizations thrive
…how truly amazing things happen
Every Workplace, a Happy Workplace.
As leaders, we all want Workplace Happiness. Yet most find it elusive when navigating the path using traditional "wellness" and HR tools .
Science points to an optimal starting point and a systematic progression to achieving a happy health workforce.
At The Happiness Department, we've cracked the code on what truly works. Allow us to guide you in applying the most effective evidence to foster lasting happiness within your organization.
The grass doesn't have to be greener outside your organization...
We know you're doing your best to engage and support your employees. We're here when you need, advice, ideas, evidence, or an extra pair of hands to ensure success.
We'll work with you on People & Culture strategy and practices that are aligned with your commitment to the well-being of your people.
Our arm's-length surveys, ‘stay’ interviews and exit interviews assure honest feedback from your employees that you can act on.
We customize real-time metrics so you can make informed decisions and take timely actions that make a real impact.
We tailor interventions to address specific Workplace Happiness needs, working with your organization's people-leaders, at-risk teams, or specific job classifications.
We’re here to get you started, or to partner for as long as it takes to maintain a healthy workplace culture.
We can serve as a safe, neutral sounding board for employees, helping your organization build trust, goodwill, and transparency with your people.
… with a deep-rooted belief that every person deserves meaningful activity in their daily life, whether it be through play, leisure, family, self-care, community service, or employment. (Spoiler- she held firmly to this belief throughout her career).
As she transitioned from clinical practice to leadership, she recognized her employees as her ‘clients’, and developed a leadership style focused on helping each one to experience safety, meaning, connection, empowerment, recognition and growth in their work.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, she served in a People & Culture senior leadership role. In the midst of this challenging time, she recognized a gap between what HR professionals wanted to do for employees, and the reality of their focus.
This gap aligned with her own purpose, strengths, experience, and a passion for what she now recognized as Workplace Happiness – and the Happiness Department was born. Not your typical consultancy, we offer real evidence-based care for employees.
Allison Arnott is the Founder and Chief Happiness Officer.
